Happy Birthday Jacob!!!

2 years ago we welcomed our little boy into the world. The most precious gift that God can give. When i pray with Jacob I thank God for my sweet little boy. We do have our "2 year old" moments -that's when I pray for patients for all of us. I am very Blessed to be his mother.
We invited a few friends Jacob's age over for 'Dirt Cake' and Ice Cream. As the rain began they planted some flowers and played in the dirt. After the presents were moved inside we opened them, then the rain stopped. All the kids then went outside to play.
Enjoy some pictures....

Night Night

I just put Jacob to bed and I have to share...
As I was putting on Jacob's crib sheet I asked him to get Puppy and Ducky, his animals that he sleeps with. He put them in his crib and then said "I get George" as in Curious George, which was in the living room. We got George and he put him in the crib.
We have a bedtime routine...
I picked him up and he 'hugs' me. He laid his head on my shoulder and said
"Rock Baby, Rock Baby".
Earlier I was rocking him like a baby. He even got his paci, which he gave up at 6 months. After our hug and rocking he gave me a kiss. Tonight he kissed me then he gave me a kiss on each cheek.
He said "Kiss cheek".
Next, I laid him down and we said our prayers. Then I gave him a butterfly kiss and an Eskimo kiss.
I said Night, Night. I love you. Jacob said "Night, Night" " I
WUV You!
This is the Best Part of my day! I hope that I did it justice...you might have just had to experience it.

Jacob Talking

In 5 days my son will be 2 years old. Just this afternoon he crawled in my lap, laid down and said
"Baby" "Baby"
He wanted me to rock him like a baby. I had rocked him like a baby yesterday. His vocabulary has grown so much this month. When Wes and Jacob returned from Seabrook Island he was speaking sentences.
"Where Poppy go?"
"Where Daddy go?"
"Where go?"
He also is saying things like...
"Here Mommy."
"I did it."
"Daddy's Truck"
On Saturday we were just hanging out and playing and about 6:30 he comes up to me and says...
"I eat" "I eat"
My favorite phrase is...
"I wuv you"

Annual Beach Trip

This is our 3rd year going to Seabrook Island. Our first year was the year Jacob & Kylee were born and Jacob was only 2 months old. Last year Jacob was almost 1 and barely walking, so of course the sand and water were a new adventure. Well, lets just say he did NOT care too much for the beach this year. Not sure if it was the bright sun, sand, wind, water or waves. Or just everything all together. Maybe he's more of a mountain man.
We arrived this past Saturday....though I had to return to work so I came back last night....and left my boys! This will be the first time I've been away from Jacob for more than 1 night. I talked to Wes today and he said Jacob still didn't care for the ocean, but played in the sand. Maybe he'll warm up to it before the end of the week.
Of coarse you'll always find him eating.
As you see he didn't like the ocean very much...but he was crawling on the sand and I had to wash it off his arms and hands.
