Our visit with Karter the day she comes home. Jacob was content holding her watching TV. Though we I tried taking a picture he would close his eyes on purpose.

First Night in Our New Home

So tonight, Father's Day, is our first night in our new home! I took a picture of Jacob on his mattress that is on the floor. His bed still in storage. He actually has been taking naps on the floor while we worked on finishing touches.
We are slowly getting things moved in...check out our garage.

Happy 3rd Birthday Jacob

Well we only had a family celebration for Jacob's 3rd Birthday.
I had planned a 'Train Party' months ago thinking we would be in the house by now. So when I realized that was not going to happen we decided to just have a lunch party and the park after church.
The week before his birthday we went on our 4th Annual Seabrook Trip. Micah and I came home on Tuesday the 18th and everyone else on the Thursday the 21st. As you know from previous post; I came home from a meeting to find Jacob sick with a 102 temperature. It flucuated from 99-102 for about 2-3 days then broke the morning of his birthday. He had a bad cough, chills, shaking, and very warm, especially at night. Poor baby!
I didn't want to chance it so I canceled the park party. :( We didn't attend church just because he had eaten much and still not feeling his best. We meet family and friends at Piggy Park for lunch. We frequently eat their after church because they have a separate section we go to with the kids. I'm not much of a BBQ person, but I love their chicken fingers and the burgers are good too. Plus, out favorite waitress is there. He didn't eat, expect maybe some banana pudding. Form dinner we cooked out. Ate dinner in Poppy and Mimi's drive way. I got him a cake from BiLo and I balloon with Elmo on it. We make it up to him next year. He probably will not remember anyway.
We plan to get him a bike when we move!

Well, it's been awhile....

I'm not sure where to begin. you're probably wondering about the house and unfortunately we are not living in it yet. We are in the home stretch though. The frig and dishwasher were delivered today. The other appliances were on back ordered and should be in next week.
I've been home today with Jacob who is sick. His temperature was 102 last night when he and Wes returned home from the
'4th Annual Seabrook Island Beach Trip'. It went down to 99 at the doctors (He did very well), but back up after his nap.
We left last Friday for our beach trip. It was nice to get away and relax, but lots of stuff going on here with the house and end of school. Micah and I returned Tuesday evening to return to work. Jacob loved the beach this year! He and Kylee had a blast running into the waves and jumping over them. He even played a game where the waves knocked them down. They play very good together when there is something to occupy their time, but during down time they get to each other just like brother and sister. Jacob gets so excited to see Kylee. They now have made the connection that they are cousins. Jacob will say
"Kylee's my cousin...and Sissy too." It's fun to watch and listen to their conversations.
So my last post was the weekend that it snowed which was Jacob's last weekend wearing diapers. He began wearing Big Boy underwear on February 16th. Even though we've had and will have accidents we have officially made it through potty training. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. After Christmas and New Years he just started using the potty. We started sitting. At one point he wanting to sit backwards, but I didn't want to get into that habit, especially since he had to take off his shoes, shorts and underwear. So about March/April we taught him to stand and he does very well. It took about a month or 2 for him to tell us when he has to go. We just had to take him and ask him, but now he
usually tells us.
Well hopefully you'll hear from me again sooner than later. The next few weeks will be busy with finishing the house and moving in. My last day of school is June 3rd which means I have to do end of the year stuff.
