First Night in Our New Home

So tonight, Father's Day, is our first night in our new home! I took a picture of Jacob on his mattress that is on the floor. His bed still in storage. He actually has been taking naps on the floor while we worked on finishing touches.

We are slowly getting things moved in...check out our garage.

Landscaping

So, today I worked on planting some bushes while Wes finished some things around the house. I planted the 2 Arborvitae, 3 Loropetalums, and 9 Compacta Hollies. I was going to work on the yard yesterday, but had a serve pain that laid me out. It started in the morning about 9:30 and continually got worse. I had to go get compost and by Lowes to eat the Arborvitaes....that's when it took a turn for the worse. I began to feel nauseous and a serve abdominal pain. It didn't help that it wa blazing hot and I had a 3 year old with me. I had to call Wes to help me with Jacob and prayed that I made it home okay. Which I did...about 11:15-30am. Barb took Jacob to the pool and it took me about 30-45min to fall asleep because it was a constant pain ( worse than my labor with Jacob). I woke up around 3:30pm pain gone! Weird.

Amanda and Micah gave us a cherry tree that took 3 guys to unload. Wes began to dig a very large hole.

This was my job.

Appliances

So, the manager called me the next day, but didn't have a date so I called him today. He said he would check on our order and call me back. He did, pretty quickly, and said they would be arriving on the trunk tonight and that the salesman is instructed to call us once he gets his hands on them.

With all that Wes spends there I just expected a little more. We tried them because their prices were good and we thought that it would be easy to get them. I plan to write a letter explaining my frustration so they can make improvements based on our situation.

House Update-Appliances

So, I got a phone call yesterday from Lowes about our appliances (for some reason they had my # instead of Wes'). This is just after I read a text from Wes that he still hadn't heard if our appliances are in. We also had the lot cleared. So, our appliances were supposed to be delivered last Friday (5/21), but while at Seabrook Wes gets a call (on Tuesday 5/18) that they were back ordered and would be delivered on Thursday (5/27), today.

So, the lady precedes to tell me that the microwave is back ordered 6-8 weeks. Therefore our cooktop and oven (which we need to pass inspection) is/has been sitting in the warehouse waiting on the microwave.

Yes, very very disturbing. See since they were all on 1 PO the warehouse waits on all products to be shipped. They problem for us is that we can move in without a microwave, but we have to get a hole cut for the cooktop and it hooked up to get the gas line. Along with the oven.

So, we are told that it would be not next weekend, but the following weekend (6/7) before they would be here.

I they call and talk to the lady, who finally says that she will have her store manager call me. Apparently, it sounds as if they guy who Wes spoke to on the 18th could have cleared this up then but who knows. After talking to the manager for awhile, he finally gets my frustration. I actually think that I stayed pretty calm. I didn't demand and rebates or threaten. I was hoping that he would offer. He said that he would call the manufacture and call me tomorrow to get an arrival date.
